70 is young. Happy birthday. Enjoy life and all it has to offer. Do lots of dancing and enjoy Boston.
As I approach 85 March 4, it's so hard to believe 5 years have passed since Covid began.
Then I was newly in remission from a rare autoimmune disease that had lasted two years.
My oldest son has planned an 85th birthday party for me with friends and family. Suddenly this virus appeared with all it's unknowns. In addition, the restaurant was suddenly closed, as a car had crashed into it's front glass windows. Fortunately, no injuries but what to do. We rescheduled the party, but as more and more info appeared about the unknowns of this virus, Covid, I decided it was best to cancel. My son had also planned a few days at Rehobeth Beach. We finally did our beach trip this past Oct at the end of the month when it hit 80 here in the MD/DC area. We had a lovely 3 days, staying right on the beach, getting some tan, eating glorious seafood and enjoying each other's company. Now here is 85; a month away. Do I do another dinner party or say, what's past is past. I'm inclined to the latter. What do you think?
Happy Birthday! And don’t forget that Fred Astaire dancing on the ceiling happened because they turned his world upside down. I thought that was a good metaphor for like. A bit like making lemonade, but more fun…
Oooh, Gabi--I never thought of that! Yes, excellent metaphor. Perhaps I'll write about that in a upcoming creativity newsletter, if that's okay with you, of course. Much love, Jamie
Yes, dear Mary! Dance! And if it gets to be too much, there's always "chair dancing." Works just as well! Thank you for your birthday wishes, Love you, Jamie
Happy Birthday, Jamie! It's also my cousin/godmother's birthday as well.
Dear Maite--Thank you, Merci beaucoup!
Love,
Jamie
